Itinerary

On the first day of the trek you will be transferred to Gangi village Haridwar. On arrival you will be accommodated in a village homestay where you will rest after a long road journey.

Today your Mayali Pass Expedition wil start from Gangi village. From Gangi you have to hike carefully on a landslides prone trail, then a brief ascend will take you to Kalyani which is a flat ground. From there you will continue to trek and Reach Kharsoli where you will come across a Nallah merging with Bhilanganga river. On arrival you will stay overnight in the tent in Kharsoli campsite.

Today you will hike on a beautiful meadow surrounded by snow clad crest to reach Chowki Campsite from Kharsoli. Your tents will be pitched by the Doodh Ganga River and from there you can see the Khatling glacier in the distance.

As you have gained a lot of altitude within a very period of time, today you will take rest and give your body some much-needed time to acclimatize. You will just go for a short walk to Khatling glacier and return to Chowki campsite and stay overnight.

Today you will initially be ascending on a steep trail offering grand views of Thalay Sagar. Then you will cross a ridge above the valley and continue to hike on the trail approaching the beautiful Masar Tal. Today you will be staying in the tent by the scenic lake.

Today is the biggest day of the expedition as you will cross Mayali Pass today. You will hike on a steep ascending trail and continue to traverse over boulders on a steep ridge to reach Masar top. Then the trail descends shortly before ascending up through the glacier till the top of Mayali Pass. After spending some time on the top and witness the surrounding peaks, you will descend sharply all the way to Vasuki Tal. The descent from Mayali Pass may require fixing rope and rappelling depending on the snow conditions.

Today, you will hike on a descending trail all the down to Kedarnath. It will take around 3-4 hrs to reach Kedarnath. After reaching there, you may visit the temple in the evening and then stay overnight in a hotel.

Today you will first descend down to Gaurikund by hiking on a well laid path of 18 kms. From Gaurikund local shuttle service will take you to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag your transfer to Rudraprayag will be arranged by us.

On the last day of your Mayali Pass Expedition you will be transferred to Haridwar from Rudraparayag covering a distance of around 160 km in about 4-5 hours.
